Inspiration

We had Rachel's Challenge out our school on Friday. If you don't know what that is it's a challenge to change your ways; to be kinder and stop bullying. It reminded me of the movie To Save A Life only without the religious outlook. Needless to say when I got home I watched the movie.

Together they made me think a lot. Think about what I did, what other people do.

As I was driving in town I was constantly frustrated by the traffic, but not the size, but how many just ignored people waiting and cut others of, etc. It was horrible. I let cars go, I gave the packed Starbucks an extra tip, I talked to an older lady, and it felt...good.

So why can't we all give love that one more chance?

Because of everything going on around us. The recession, the government, everyone keeps telling us what we can and can't do.

Why can't they hear the people sing, we will not be slaves again.

I had my iPod on shuffel. As I was driving home a song came on. I started singing because I know the artists rather well and like to sing to them. But as I sang I listened. Because what Queen and David Bowie were telling us is that ONE SONG CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE. Under Pressure.

As I continued driving and listening to my iPod it came to a song from a musical. The last time I had seen this musical was the 25th Anniversary Concert on TBS [with Nick Jonas]. I almost cried because the message was so powerful for TODAY's life. Les Miserables was showing us that no matter how hard we try, we need to be LOUDER AND MORE COURAGEOUS. Do You Hear the People Sing?

With these two songs, and their seperate messages, can we put them together to be the ultimate change? If we reached out with two forever lasting messages, will we be the Change?
We can try. And we can sing.

What will you do to be heard?
Always, as Promised,
-S.
